Those yardage averages would be enough to hit the OVER on the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook’s props board for total gross passing yardage (219.5) and total rushing yards (35.5).
Bettors will want to look before they jump, though.
In spite of their 1-3 record, the Rams are allowing the fewest passing yards per game in the NFL (192). They’ve only played four games, so the sample is still small enough to have been skewed by a fluky game or two. However, they did hold the Philadelphia Eagles’ Nick Foles to 207 passing yards (averaging 276) and Tony Romo to 217 through the air (averaging 252).
Of course, their inability to stop the run (4.9 yards per carry) may be discouraging teams from taking to the air, but whatever the reason(s), bettors will probably want to avoid betting a significant sum on Kaepernick going OVER 219.5 gross passing yards.
