The highlight took place on King’s Row as the enemy team attempted to move the payload. Takimeathead wasted no time showing off their tank prowess in the video as they quickly blocked a flashbang from the enemy Cassidy. This pivotal play not only showed off the impressive reflexes of the older gamer but potentially saved their team from an Earthshatter by the opposing Reinhardt. While this play by itself was impressive, the Reddit user was just getting started.

After blocking the flashbang from Cassidy, takimeathead decided to go on the offensive. Jumping into action, they used their Earthshatter to stun nearly everyone on the opposing team. Following this impressive Ultimate usage, an allied Ana then Nanoboosted them. Charged up and ready to attack, they used their powerful hammer to finish off their opposition. In addition to achieving this incredible highlight, the Reddit user revealed that this play allowed them to get over 4,000 damage in the game with the tank.

Since posting this video, many Overwatch fans commented on the achievement made by takimeathead. The majority of gamers were impressed with the skills of the elder gamer. “I love it that older generation are still playing video games! Nice play dude,” a Reddit user known as BlackMait said. Not only were people amazed at the age of the Reinhardt player, but many found the highlight impressive. “Clean fire strike to finish it off,” HouseThought commented.

As this clip from takimeathead attests, Overwatch seems to attract a large and varied crowd of gamers. It is exciting to see that all sorts of players, regardless of their age, can enjoy video games and be really good at them. It will be interesting to see what other clips experienced gamers, such as takimeathead, can capture in the weeks ahead as players continue to wait for a rumored beta for Overwatch 2.
